Bend restrictors are made of a high stiffness and high strength elastomer. They are mounted around the cable and attached to the offshore terminals or structures. Bend restrictors are designed to prevent damage to flexible flowlines / umbilicals / cables from overbending and buckling during the offshore installation and operation.
